MSc., Bsc., LicAc., MBAcC
I have always been fascinated by science and understanding how the human body works. Hence my first degree was a BSc in Science followed by an MSc in Biomedical Sciences. I started work in the NHS as a Clinical Scientist for over 8 years followed by 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Since meeting my husband I have become a Director of a small Residential Care Home in Solihull. This has been a most rewarding career and a privilege to work with the elderly. I have developed considerable experience in people management and importantly skills to support those through immensely difficult transitional changes in adjusting to the concept of the care environment.
Three years ago I decided to study again and, having always looked to complementary medicine to support wellbeing, I chose Acupuncture. In 2020 I graduated from the well-respected Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa, with a Distinction, for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture. This is a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also highly commended for the standard of my clinical work.
My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with taking a holistic approach towards you, as an individual.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.
I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover. I can be contacted through BTAC directly or on 07802 692349
